Ghana’s borders to remain closed for another 2 weeks

The president of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo has by an executive instrument, extended the closure of the country’s borders.

The 2 week extension of the closure of the borders, starts at midnight on Saturday, April 5th.

Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, took to Twitter to announce the decision by government.

Hi Folks, President @NAkufoAddo has by a new executive instrument, EI 66, extended the closure of Ghana’s borders by another two weeks effective midnight tomorrow April 5.

This is to ensure that the risk of importation of covid-19 cases will remain curtailed while we focus on the enhanced tracing and testing program currently underway.
