Ghana’s COVID-19 case count rises to 7,616

As at Friday May 29th, 2020, Ghana’s COVID-19 case count has risen to 7,616.

According to the Ghana Health Service, nine more individuals have recovered from the deadly novel coronavirus.

This case count of 7,616 means Ghana has seen an increase of 313 new cases.

According to reports, the Bono East region has become the 15th out of Ghana’s 16 regions to record a COVID-19 case.

The Ghana Health Service says, of the 313 new cases, 227 were recorded from routine surveillance while 86 of the cases were confirmed through enhanced contact tracing.

On a good note, no new deaths attributed to the virus have been recorded.
