Veteran Highlife artiste Gyedu-Blay Ambolley has told fellow musician Okyeame Kwame to drag him to court if he wants.

This comes after Okyeame Kwame gave the veteran musician 72 hours to apologize for comments indicating that he unduly benefited from GHc 2 million cash given to the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) by government.

Gyedu-Blay Ambolley after the 72 hours has dared Okyeame Kwame to sue him in court if he likes.

“Okyeame Kwame should go to court. If he wants to take the issue to court, he should”, he told Happy FM.

The veteran artiste alleged that former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Obour, shared the GH¢2 million that was given to the union by government to his friends.

Ambolley mentioned Okyeame Kwame, Bessa Simons, Ben Brako and TiC as some of the beneficiaries of the cash.

The veteran also alleged that each of them received about GHc 50,000 disguised as a loan.

”When that cash came Obour gave them GHc 50,000 each…all these guys were guys who had surrounded him”, he claimed.

According to the letter by Okyeame Kwame’s lawyers, these allegations are false and cast their client in bad light.

The letter further stated that Gyedu-Blay Ambolley has 72 hours to withdraw the statement or face legal action.
