The Ghana Private Road and Transport Union (GPRTU) has effective immediately, banned all preaching and selling activities in public vehicles.

This directive from the union following the directive from the president, Akufo-Addo, for the union to regulate and ensure strict sanitary guidelines in their vehicles.

Speaking on Citi News, Kwame Kuma, Chairman of the Ghana Private Road and Transport Union (GPRTU), advised the public to strictly adhere to all directives given out so far.

“All the people selling medicine in cars should stop. At the same time, the preaching in the cars must stop because we must allow the president’s directives to hold.”

“So we are pleading that each and everyone should obey what we are saying,” he said.

Trotros are commercial vehicles in Ghana that are particularly noted for their poor spacing arrangements and poor ventilation.
