Ghana Water Ltd. (GWL) has assured residents of Anfoega and surrounding areas of restoring a reliable water supply, ending a period of prolonged shortages.

The pledge was made personally by GWL Managing Director, Hon. Adam Mutawakilu, during a visit to the Paramount Chief of Anfoega Akukome, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV.

The visit aimed to directly assess the crisis and address operational challenges plaguing the Kpando water system.

Togbe Tepre Hodo IV welcomed the engagement, highlighting that past attempts to resolve the issue had failed, leaving the community dependent on unsafe water sources.

GWL disclosed that while the Kpando Treatment Plant has a daily capacity of 6,400 cubic metres, current production is only around 3,000.

Mr. Mutawakilu assured that the company would implement long-term solutions to bridge this gap and ensure equitable access to water, in line with the national “Water for All” agenda.

The MD was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Ing. Michael Botse Baidoo, Deputy MD for Operations, and other senior officials.
