Music Producer, Fred Kyei Mensah a.k.a Fredyma has asked Ghanaians to stop disturbing rapper Sarkodie over his latest song titled “Happy Day”.
There are claims that Sarkodie released the song to support Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The song was released on November 2, and and it sent social media into a frenzy for hours.
On “Happy Day” which features Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie supposedly endorsed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Akufo-Addo and asked that he be given a second term.
He also praised the president for keeping a stable supply of electricity as well as providing free Senior High School education.
However, Fredyma has argued that the song is not political and has no connection with President Akufo-Addo’s candidacy.
He stressed that the president’s name was not mentioned anywhere in the song.
”Did he mention Akufo-Addo’s name when he said ‘Nana toaso’? The battle is still the lord’s, was Nana Akufo-Addo present when the bible was being compiled? So, if Sarkodie says the battle is still the lord’s, does it mean he’s referring to Nana Akufo-Addo?”, he questioned.
On Sarkodie’s mention of free Senior High School (SHS) in the song, Fredyma also asked ”is the word ‘free’ not in the dictionary?”
