Ghanaian media personality and artiste, Sister Derby, will not yield to pressure from the public demanding that she settles down.
Sister Derby dated Medikal for about two years and they broke up in 2018.
While she was dating Medikal and even after their break up, many asked the 35-year-old singer to settle down because she is aging.
Reacting to pressure for her to get married, Sister Derby jabbed that she is not dust to settle down.
“People are saying at this age, I should be trying to settle down. Settle down, am I dust?”, she quizzed in an interview on Vibes In Five.
“I am never really bothered when I am very sure what the person is saying doesn’t make sense or it’s wrong,” she added.
Sister Derby feels pressure from the public for her to settle down is uncalled for.
She also stated that she might lose her beauty if she ties the knot with the wrong man just to please the public.
“.. People are like ‘you are so fresh, you are beautiful, and when will you marry?’… So they should come and spoil my beauty for me?” she asked.
Sister Derby also revealed that she doesn’t get pressure from her family regarding marriage so she wonders why the public are pressurizing her.
The singer also noted she had dated other men after breaking up with Medikal but those relationships did not go as planned.
