A member of Nakorex, Rex Omar says he didn’t know that his fellow band members Amandzeba and Akosua Adjepong were dating from the onset.
According to the singer, he only got to know sometime later when the two were preparing to tie the knot.
The ‘Habiba’ hit maker makes this revelation in response to claim that the Highlife group collapsed immediately Amandzeba started dating Akosua Adjepong.
‘In fact, I didn’t know the time they started dating. I was so naive. I even defended that they were not dating. It took a long time for me to realize that it was happening’
‘We are individuals…so me I wasn’t (bothered). They are adults. They went on, later on they got married and it was just that’’, he told Abeiku Santana in an interview.
He stressed that Nakorex was not affected by the love affair between two members of the group
Rex Omar stated the group was dissolved because all three members wanted to pursue individual projects.
Nakorex was formed in 1992 and the band was led by Amandzeba, Rex Omar and Akosua Adjepong.
