After producing a hit song with Shatta Wale titled ‘Jeje’ in 2016, Sista Afia remained in Shatta Wale’s camp for a couple of years.

The songstress performed with Shatta Wale a number of times on shows which only Shatta Wale was billed.

However, in 2018, the two artistes were no longer seen together like before.

This sparked speculations that Sista Afia and Shatta Wale’s working relationship had hit the rocks.

A report by mynewsgh has captured Sista Afia explaining why she distanced herself from the leader of the SM Militants.

According to her, while growing in the industry, Shatta Wale gave her several platforms to develop.

She stated that she needed to distance herself or she will be seen as one of his Militants.

“Shatta Wale gave me a lot of platforms; and I was all over him. He supported me but I wanted to be on my own. So I had to distance myself from him so people don’t see me as one of his militants”, she said.

Sista Afia is currently not signed by an record label and seems not to be eager to join any now.
