Sensational Ghanaian musician, King Promise has revealed he does not work because he expects awards, he only sings to make his fans happy.
Speaking in an interview with Sammy Kay, the ‘Bra’ hitmaker said, he feels it is a misplaced priority to work with one’s focus on awards.
Answering a question about his expectations in the upcoming Vodafone Music Awards (VGMA), King Promise emphasized that, he is expecting nothing from VGMA because his focus is to make the fans happy.
In his opinion, making his fans happy and receiving his music is all the satisfaction he expects at the end of the day.
The artiste was, however, quick to add that, should the awards come along the line he will take it and be grateful for it but he reiterated he does not work for awards.
King Promise is currently in the running to win the Songwriter of the Year category at the 21st edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
He is to defend the title this year after winning it with CCTV at the 20th edition.
