Ghanaian Reggae artist Ras Kuuku has revealed that the cemetery is the place where he finds peace and comfort.
Among all the places in the country, Kojo Kurankye, popularly known as Ras Kuuku prefers to relax at the cemetery.
The 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ disclosed that he interacts with the dead at the graveyard.
“We relax in the ‘saman puom’ (cemetery). We chat with the dead. Imagine you go through the sun hustling the whole day, you can take a break, sit at the cemetery and relax’’ he told YFM Takoradi.
Ras Kuuku made headlines after beating Samini, Epixode and other Ghanaian Dancehall artists to win ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’.
The ‘Wo’ hitmaker in his interview stated that he has songs he can’t remember because they are uncountable.
“I have singles I can’t count, so my team and I decided to come out with an album titled, ‘Kuntunkununku’ the Heaviest. The word Kuntunkununku is one of the names of the Almighty and it also reminds me of Osagyefo Kuntununku, the first King of Akyem,” he said.
Ras Ruuku has promised fans more great music after they voted for him to win his recent Ghana Music Awards plaque.
