Sensational dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah, popularly known as Shatta Wale has revealed why he gave his former arch-rival Stonebwoy, one of his awards at the just ended 4Syte Music Video Awards.

According to Shatta Wale, the act was not only an act of love but also an act to boost business. He says, he believes the 4Syte Music Awards ceremony was the best time for him to show his love for his brother Stonebwoy.

Speaking in an Interview, Shatta said, “I have thought about this and I kept asking myself why I have to beef my brother.”

He went on to add that, “I found out that I didn’t hate him, it was the industry we found ourselves in. Life is always like that, we learn from things and I have learnt from a whole lot of things.”

The ‘Melissa’ hitmaker won the highest number of awards at the said event with five awards. These were the awards for the Most Popular video, Big Chuune Award, Best Edited Video, Best Dancehall Video and Most Influential Act.

Shatta Wale then went on to hand over the award for the Most Popular Video to his brother Stonebwoy, to the surprise and admiration of everyone in the auditorium.

The beautiful moment when the two former rivals hugged each other at the 4Syte Music Video Awards.

In his opinion, both himself and Stonebwoy have had to deal with a lot in the industry and they deserve to be given the benefit of the doubt as they try to iron out their issues.

According to him, the kind gesture of love he showed to his brother has turned out really well for the business aspect of his brand.

He said, “I have brands that I am working with and I don’t want them to see me as that rowdy type that people are always trying to paint me as.”

“I am a businessman and I want them to understand that this is a game I’m always playing. I just want the corporate businesses in Ghana to understand that Shatta is just an entertainer and he is ready to entertain anytime,” he concluded.

Shatta went on to add that, if he played the role of a violent or rude person in a movie, people would not associate him with that in real life, however, that did not work the same way in the music industry.

According to him, he needs to let people know he is not a violent person as speculated by his critics.
