Son of popular Ghanaian preacher General Sam Korankye Ankrah, Paapa Korankye Ankrah has revealed he never had intentions of becoming a pastor.

He said all he ever wanted was to make money and following in the stead of his father was never something he considered.

Paapa Korankye-Ankrah said growing up, he wanted to move into business because he loved the sound of it hence pastoral work was never part of his career plans.

Speaking in an interview with Joy FM’s Edem Knight-Tay on the Home Affairs Show on Saturday, the young pastor at the Royal House Chapel International said pastoral work was not attractive to him.

‘I wanted to make money. I knew I would end up in business somehow because I liked the sound of business when I was growing up…so I knew I would be a career man’.

In fact, I swore to myself I would never become a pastor. It didn’t look attractive.’

Paapa says, his turning point came when he met God during a camp meeting in Canada and there he says ‘was where I completely met God for the first time.’
