A few days ago, gospel musician Patience Nyarko received a lot of backlash after she made a statement saying Joe Mettle was not worth the hype Ghanaians accorded him.
This statement didn’t go down well with a lot of people and especially fans of the gospel artiste, who took to social media to call her all sorts of names.
Addressing the issue in an interview on Showbiz live on Joyprime on May 19, 2020, Patience Nyarko stated that she stands by her statement that Joe Mettle is not the best artiste in the Gospel industry.
She, however, made it clear that she didn’t have any personal issues with Joe Mettle because he is like a brother to her.
She said;
” My statement was not to discredit Joe Mettle…He is probably good at where he finds himself but that doesn’t make him the best,” she stated.
” I don’t even know why this is such a big deal…at the end of the day we are winning souls for the Kingdom of God so why should one person be singled out as the best just because he won a few awards?.
In her final statement, the gospel artiste admonished her colleagues in the music industry to stay united and work towards winning more souls for God.
