Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has had a go at Shatta Wale for claiming that other artistes are copying him by doing street shows.
This allegation comes days after Sarkodie recorded a landmark attendance for his “This Is Tema” concert which saw over 50,000 fans from across the capital gather in Tema.
Shatta Wale claimed in an interview with KOD on Starr FM that he is glad other artistes have started copying his style and bragged that he started this trend many years ago when he was performing in Nima and Korle-Gonno for free.
He said:
“I am really happy most of them are learning from where I started schooling from (Street), I am one of the boys who started street shows in Ghana.
“I did community shows, from Nima, Jamestown during that time, most of them were concentrating on filling the conference centres”.
Reacting to the comments, the God MC, M.anifest refuted Shatta Wale’s pacesetter claims and mentioned that he had his own street concerts before anyone else could think of it.
“It’s making the rounds. Let me correct him though, I did Madina block party before everybody did anything else” M.anifest said.
