Ghanaian producer and CEO of popular A1 bread, Edward Nana Poku Osei better known as Hammer, has revealed he was a heavy smoker before he quit smoking a few years ago.

Disclosing in an interview, Hammer said he started smoking in his first year in PRESEC (Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School).

He found it extremely difficult to quit the act.

He went on to say, “I was deteriorating. I woke up tired each morning instead of being rejuvenated and this was constant.”

Hammer said, he smoked at least 4 packs a day and went on to advise the youth to avoid the dangerous practice.

“I wouldn’t be here if I were still smoking”, Hammer reiterated

According to Hammer, his business partner in the bread business, Kwaku Boateng helped him quit the hazardous act.
