Singer MzVee has finally opened up on her decision to stay off the music industry for about two years.
The artiste was inactive and never explained her long silence on the music scenes in 2018 and 2019.
In an interview on TV3, the ‘Daavi’ singer revealed that she went into a state of depression for two years.
She admitted that the situation was so severe and it affected her music career.
“I was super, super depressed in 2017/2018… laid on the floor and cried several times” , she disclosed.
MzVee added that her depression did not only make her stay away from music but friends and fans as well.
“When my whole depression thing happened I did un-follow people…I just wanted time away. I was lashing out in ways I didn’t even understand…I pulled away from everyone…I coiled up in my shell,” she said.
MzVee’s long silence in the music industry triggered rumors that she was pregnant.
Others said that she wanted to settle down and make a family thereby forcing her out of the music industry.
Some fans also claimed that she was unhappy because her former label mates Kuami Eugene and KiDi received all the needed attention leaving her idle.
