Innovation for Empowerment and Development (IFED Global) will bring together young people from across the African continent for the transformative Africa Youth Festival.

The festival, which will mark the 10th anniversary of IFED, is scheduled for November 5 to 9, 2025, at the University of Ghana, Legon.

The theme for this year’s festival is “Reflect, Review and Reset: Igniting the Future of Africa’s Youth”.

The milestone celebration follows a decade of impactful youth-centred activities, including the International Youth Diplomacy and Global Junior Model United Nations Conference.

This was in a statement by Naa Adokarley Mettle Addo, Director at IFED Global and Festival Coordinator for Africa Youth Festival copied to the Ghana News Agency.

In partnership with the National Youth Authority and the Ghana Tourism Development Company, IFED Global will host 2,000 young Africans, including students, entrepreneurs, and young professionals, for a five-day festival.

A central component of the festival is intensive skill development across ten career fields.

The fields are the Vocational and Technical Skills Enhancement Programme, the Creative Arts Talents Enhancement Programme, the Youth in Agribusiness Programme, the Women’s Wealth-Building Training Programme, and Healthcare Innovation and Skill Enhancement.

Others are Social, Developmental and Climate Action Skills Enhancement and Information, Communication and Technology Skills Enhancement, among others.

IFED Global expresses gratitude for the curriculum and training support from partners including ALX, HO2WO, A and P Intern Connect, and the UGBS Entrepreneurship Hub.

The festival will feature a powerful line-up of leaders from business, politics, and banking, including Mr George Opare Addo, Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment; Mr Farihan Alhassan, Managing Director of Ghana Commercial Bank; and Mr Julius Neequaye, Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority.
