IGP promotes 17 officers for excellence

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has promoted seventeen (17) police officers to their next ranks in recognition of their exemplary service.

The promotions, approved on 14th January 2026, include two (2) senior officers.

This honour rewards the officers’ distinguished performance, marked by exceptional professionalism, unwavering discipline, and a steadfast commitment to operational excellence and national service.

The initiative underscores the Service’s policy of motivating personnel who demonstrate outstanding integrity and dedication in their duties.

During the ceremony, IGP Yohuno and members of the Police Management Board (POMAB) congratulated the promoted officers.

They charged them to view their new ranks as a call to heightened responsibility, leadership, and accountability.

All service personnel were encouraged to continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism, loyalty, and public service.
