International Central Gospel Church to continue online worship

Members of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) have been directed by the Presbytery of the church to stay home, despite the President’s lift of restrictions preventing church services.

In a communique released by the church and signed by the General Secretary, Reverend Morris, it asked ‘All ICGC local assemblies to continue to fellowship on-air and on-line as we join the General Overseer on Sundays for services as we do now.’

The stance taken by the church comes as no surprise as the General Overseer, Pastor Mensa Otabil has been one of the few pastors who called for careful consideration before the lifting of restrictions with regards to communal worship.

ICGC joins three other Christian bodies – Makers Chapel, Spirit Life Revival Ministries and Destiny Empowerment Chapel International who have asked members to stay home, regardless of the president’s new directive.
