Some social media users have criticized actress Beverly Afaglo for chastising her colleagues who have publicly endorsed the New Patriotic Party’s Lydia Alhassan for the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat.
Her colleague, John Dumelo of the National Democratic Congress, is coming up against, incumbent MP, Lydia Alhassan in the December 7 elections.
However, it appears that the Dumelo’s colleagues including Kalybos, Prince David Osei, Jeneral Ntatia, BismarkTheJoke and Bibi Bright are campaigning against him.
They were seen clad in NPP T-shirts as they ramed the streets of Ayawaso West Wuogon to preach to Ghanaians to vote for Akufo-Addo and Maa Lydia.
They were seen sharing political tracts and fliers of the NPP as they campaigned for the ruling government.
Beverly Afaglo has described the move as a “dishonour to a colleague’s name and hardwork”; something Beverly said she could never do in her profession.
In response, a social media user , Kwabena Osei argued that the actors owed Dumelo no favour.
“Ummm we are coworkers does not mean we should share the same political ideologies”, he wrote.
“They can support any party they want… its normal but why should they wait for John Dumelo to have an issue with Madam Lydia before they go and take pictures with her? I mean is she the only NPP MP that they can take pictures with?”, another user wrote.
