IShowSpeed thrilled fans on first-day visit to Ghana

American streaming sensation IShowSpeed thrilled fans on Monday as he kicked off the Ghana leg of his African tour, bringing his trademark energy and spontaneity to every stop.

Speed’s first destination was the Asenema Waterfall in Akropong, where thousands of viewers tuned in live on YouTube to follow his journey.

The iconic natural landmark set the tone for a day filled with excitement, culture, and heartfelt moments.

From the waterfalls, Speed received a warm and traditional welcome at the Akropong Palace, where Ghanaian hospitality was on full display.

He witnessed the sacred pouring of libation before meeting the Okuapehene Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III.

In a symbolic gesture of acceptance, Speed was given a Ghanaian name, Barima Kofi Akuffo.

The streamer was also presented with a Kente cloth and a pair of traditional sandals. 

Speed later visited the historic Black Star Square, a symbolic landmark of Ghana’s independence. There, he entertained onlookers with his famous backflip at the top of the Black Star monument and linked up with the Supercar Spectacle team and fans who had gathered to meet him.

He also sampled Ghana’s beloved jollof rice, sharing his culinary experience live with viewers around the world.

Speed continued to the Bukom Boxing Arena, the home of Ghana’s boxing tradition where he stepped into the ring for an exhibition match with a local professional boxer.

Although visibly exhausted, he impressed the crowd with moments of surprising skill and determination.

He wrapped up his day at Hammat Africa, where he enjoyed a relaxing massage and experienced the richness of authentic Ghanaian shea butter, ending his stream after a day packed with adventure.
