Versatile screen goddess, Jackie Appiah, has as part of celebrations to mark her 36th birthday, has donated some cash and items to the Senior Correctional Centre of the Ghana Police Service. Jackie celebrated her birthday on the 5th of December, 2019.
The gesture is part of activities undertaken by the Jackie Appiah Foundation, which is into helping the less privileged in society.
Jackie, after donating the items to the Representative of the Prison Service, delivered a speech where she said, she wanted to do something different this time around on her birthday, hence her decision to choose the juvenile prisons since she has never been there before.
She said she was more curious to inquire from the officers why kids would be inmates in a prison and offer the necessary help to such kids.
She also offered to provide educational sponsorship to some inmates if the prison authorities gave her the go-ahead. Jackie ended her day with dinner with some of her loyal fans in Accra.
