Ghanaian singer Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey popularly known as Kaakie has clearly chosen her nursing career over music.
The dancehall artist says she is on a break from producing music.
Kaakie, who is a UK licensed nurse, stated that she is dedicated to the profession and her zeal to assist mothers and babies in the hospital exceeds the drive to produce music.
The singer said she is passionate about seeing to the reduction in the canker of maternal mortality.
“I really want to feel fulfilled, and I really want to help. So I’m looking forward to acquiring all the knowledge and skills necessary for the job,” she said on Joy FM.
The ‘Kumcha’ hit maker recently got married and lives in the United States with her husband.
She wants to secure a license to practice nursing in the U.S where she resides now.
