Singer Kurl Songx has claimed ownership of the song titled ‘Dw3’ by Krymi and Mr Drew featuring Sarkodie.
According to the singer, his former Highly Spiritual Music label mates, Krymi and Mr. Drew, with the help of Kawya, copied the melodies of a song he recorded before leaving the label in 2019.
Kurl Songx said that though Kaywa gave him the beat, he created the melodies and composed the lyrics himself.
The ‘Jennifer Lomotey’ hit maker said after he had a misunderstanding with Kaywa, the boss of Highly Spiritual Music allowed his boys steal the ‘Dw3’ song.
‘’The ‘Dwe’ song is my song. You can call Kaywa and ask. He played the beat and sent it to me….I wrote the song and everybody in the studio said it was a hit so we decided to send it to Shatta Wale. He said he was going to do it. Little issues started coming’’, he said on Hitz FM.
Kurl Songx is also disappointed in Krymi and Mr Drew for completely copying his lyrics and melodies.
‘’The melodies and all it is me. Diana Asamoah where does Drew know Diana Asamoah? Drew didn’t write the song so where does he know all these things. Kaywa should come and tell me I am lying’’, he added.
Kaywa and Kurl Songs ended their working relationship after Kurl Songx said in an interview that the producer did not offer him enough support while under Highly Spiritual Music.
