Up and coming Ghanaian highlife musician, Ahenfo, has said, his statement about the death of fellow highlife artiste, Kofi B was greatly misunderstood.
Ahenfo, after the death of Kofi B made a rather chilling statement that had many of Kofi B’s fans and family members greatly angered.
He said: “Even though it’s sad that Kofi B has died, to me I think it’s good that he is dead because I believe God took his life to pave way for me to replace him…He was doing dormant singing the same type of singing I do. He died so that Ghanaians would also see the talent in me”.
However, speaking in an interview on Happy FM Ahenfo claims his statement was misquoted.
According to him, the said interview, where he made this statement was conducted in ‘twi’ and hence, it not surprising when some of the words are lost in translation.
Ahenfo made this clarification after Belinda Obeng, Kofi B’s sister called for his arrest in order to ascertain the real motive behind his comments.
Kofi B died on Sunday, February 2, 2020, after he complained of chest pains prior to a scheduled performance in Cape Coast.
