Kofi Kinaata becomes first artist to win VGMA ‘Songwriter of the Year’ thrice

Kofi King Arthur popularly known as Kofi Kinaata has become the first artist to win the ‘Songwriter of the Year’ three times at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He achieved the new feat after his ‘Things Fall Apart’ song earned him the award at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Kofi Kinaata, has, in the process, beaten the likes of Okyeame Kwame and Kojo Antwi who have won it only twice respectively.

In 2016, ‘Susuka’ helped him win while ‘Confession’ got him the award in 2017.

Kofi Kinaata was not present at the virtual awards night on August 28.

Minutes after he was announced winner, he took to his social media pages to express his gratitude.
