The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Krachi East, Mr Safo Nketia, has reiterated his commitment to prioritising Kindergarten (KG) education in the Municipality.
He emphasised that KGs remain one of his topmost priorities.
The handing over ceremony was attended by MCEs and DCEs from the neighboring municipalities and districts, including Krachi West, Nkwanta South, Jasikan, Biakoye, Nkwanta North and Guan.
Mr Nketia said: “We cannot rely on government alone, we need to think outside the box and use our resources to develop our area, We used Internal Generated Fund (IGF) to give the KGs blocks a new faces in the municipality, and this is just one of many projects undertaken with IGF at Wankayaw in Dambai. ”
The MCE appealed to the community members, staff of the school, and students to take care of the new refurbished facility in the area.
The chief of Wankayaw community, Nana Alix Kwame Chikpa, expressed gratitude to the MCE for choosing to refurbish the KG block in his area.
Mr Solomon Atitsogbui, Krachi East, Educational Director, praised the Municipal Assembly for its efforts in renovating the KG block in Wankayaw community.
Mr Atitsogbui prayed for continued development in the education sector in Krachi East and thanked the MCE and Member of Parliament (MP), Mr. Nelson Kofi Djabab, for their unwavering support.
He said the refurbished KG block was a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Municipal Assembly and stakeholders to improve education in Krachi East.
