From all indications, the battle for “Dw3”, produced by Kaywa is far from over.
Kurl Songx, even after his exit from Highly Spiritual records is claiming ownership of the “Dw3” song, saying Kaywa played the beat for him first.
Mr Drew, headline name on the song, has questioned Kurl Songx to pinpoint out which part of the verses he claims to have written.
Krymi, another party to the battle has also denied the claims being made by Kurl Songx, against him (Krymi) and fellow label mate, Mr Drew.
The back and forth on the matter caused Abeiku Santana to arrange for the three to meet in his studio and have a deep discussion on the matter.
Tempers flared up during the discussion with Krymi asking Kurl Songx to watch his posture or else they might resort to exchanging blows in the studio.
As to what Kurl Songx hopes to achieve with his constant claim that Kaywa played the beat to Dw3 for him first, and hence the song belongs to him, one cannot tell.
