Female rapper Eno Barony has finally conceded defeat and stated that Kwesi Arthur deserved the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ‘Best Rapper of the Year’.
This comes after Eno released a music video titled ‘Game of Thrones’ believed to be a diss directed at organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards – Charterhouse, and Kwesi Arthur.
Rapper Eno Barony was in the same category with Medikal, Sarkodie, Kwesi Arthur and Strongman Burner for the ‘Best Rapper’ award.
At the end of the event, Kwesi Arthur was crowned winner leading to several protests on social media.
In the visuals for ‘Game Of Thrones’, Eno threw shots at the best rapper and also jabbed the organizers over their decision.
However, the rapper has explained that her song was to calm her fans down and not to diss anybody.
“I had to do this conversation to my fans to calm them down because a lot of them were like why didn’t I win”
“So, I’m just trying to tell my fans that award or no award we still dey. I’m not defined by awards. I never won an award to be called the best, I became the best in my own way even though I haven’t won any award,” she said.
She also admitted that Kwesi Arthur deserved the award on the night.
“He deserves it, that’s why he won the award. Kwesi Arthur is dope and I like him”, she stated.
Eno Barony was quick to add that Kwesi Arthur’s victory doesn’t make him the best.
