Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has said the advocacy for a lockdown is not a bad idea at all, only that it will come at a great cost to the less privileged.

The number of Covid-19 cases has risen to 27 with two deaths recorded all in the Ashanti Region.

According to Lydia Forson, it’s necessary to lock down the country but Ghana is not positioned to support the poor in society and therefore they will be at the losing end in case there’s a lockdown.

She said “The thing about a lock down is so many people who’re less privileged will suffer. For many people getting something to eat even daily is a struggle. And our system doesn’t necessarily protect the poor. So even though it’s necessary it also comes at a great cost”
