Hiplife artist turned evangelist, Lord Kenya has confessed that he once gave Okomfour Kwadee weed to smoke.
According to him, this happened while he was mentoring Okomfour Kwaadee some years ago.
Kwadee is currently in a rehabilitation centre trying to recover from his mental ailment.
Lord Kenya who is now a pastor, said he prays or his colleague and hopes he gets well soon.
“My prayers are with him. It’s a long story. I was trying to help him because I got him to smoke some of this weed those times when he was brought up to me by his producer,” he said on Citi TV.
The former rapper added that he should have been the one in the mental facility taking into account how much he abused all kinds of drugs.
“I mean if it’s anything I’m supposed to to be in rehab because I was the one who was doing it in extremely and saved by grace”, he stated.
After Kwadee’s mental health issue surfaced in the public domain, Lord Kenya tried to help his colleague but was prevented by Kwadee’s family.
“So, I wanted to just extend a hand…But the whole thing was twisted. His family members… The reason why I was doing that was to help him as a brother so whatever has happened, at least I tried my best and I still pray for him and we’re trying our best also to support him in the little ways that we can so, we should wish him well,” he stated.
Reports indicate that Okomfour Kwadee is recovering in the rehabilitation centre after several weeks.
