In the true spirit of Christmas, Maglans Micro-Credit, a licensed non-bank financial institution, has extended a warm gesture of love and compassion to the inmates of the Obuasi prisons through a donation of assorted food and household items.
The donation comprised bags of rice, boxes of washing soap, a sack of washing powder, 5kg of liquid soap, packs of soft drinks, sachet water, boxes of biscuits, and packs of toilet rolls.
The items aimed at easing daily needs and brightening the season for the beneficiaries.
Mr Lanslord Asumakah, Chief Executive Officer of the company, speaking at the ceremony, said the initiative formed part of Maglans Micro-Credit’s commitment to social responsibility and community support.
“To the men of the Obuasi Prison, we send our heartfelt Christmas greetings. It is our hope that these small gifts will brighten your celebrations and remind you that you have not been forgotten. May this season bring peace, strength for the days ahead, and renewed hope for the future,” he said.
Mr. Asumakah reaffirmed the company’s dedication to supporting communities within its operational areas, particularly institutions that played a vital role in upholding law, order, and social stability.
Chief Inspector Bright Dekade, an official of the Obuasi Prisons, who received the items, thanked Maglans Micro-Credit for the timely intervention, describing it as a meaningful show of care and solidarity during the Christmas season.
Through this gesture, Maglans Micro-Credit had once again demonstrated that beyond providing financial services, it remained committed to touching lives and making a positive social impact within the Obuasi community and beyond.
