Mahama suspends campaign following Rawlings’ death

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama has suspended his campaign following the death of former Jerry John Rawlings.

Former President Mahama who was on a six-day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region said he is suspending his tour with immediate effect.

Mr Mahama said he is returning to Accra to mourn with the family of the founder of the party he is currently leading.

John Rawlings is said to have died today the 12th of November, 2020 after a short illness at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
