Former Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has been appointed as Asante Kotoko’s manager, returning for a second stint in charge at the club.

Konadu has returned to the club seven years after his departure to take up national team duties.

According to Kotoko Express App, he has agreed to a two-year contract and will pocket $60,000 a year.

He will be unveiled at Kotoko’s training grounds Adako Jachie on Monday evening.

This will be Konadu’s second spell with the 24-time Ghanaian champions.

He guided them to a 22nd league title in 2012 but resigned to coach the Black Satellites and subsequently become assistant coach of the Black Stars in 2013.

His major task is to win the Ghana Premier League which kicks off on December 28 and in the process qualify Kotoko to the Champions League.
