On Saturday 19th October, Ghana’s newest music sensation – Fantana suffered a humiliating wardrobe malfunction. While on stage to support Dancehall maestro, Shatta Wale, the Blown signee’s sanitary pad popped out from her rather short and overly revealing dress.

The “Girls Hate on Girls” hit-maker has since been heavily criticized by social media users.

In a press release, the management of the blooming musician apologised to the public and used the opportunity to bring some clarity to the unfortunate incident.

In the release date 21th October, 2019, management of Fantana, Blown, has admitted their signee went on stage wearing a sanitary pad, a wardrobe malfunction they have apologized for.

The critics questioned why she didn’t wear any underpants knowing very well that she was in her menstrual period and her dress was revealing.

However, responding to the blunder in a release, Fantana said she’s a woman and will never let something as natural as menstruation stop her from performing her duties as a musician.

“Regardless of my costume being transparent, my only option was to put on a sanitary pad and still go ahead to perform. I am a woman and I am not afraid of menstruating.

Yes, my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. Menstruation is not a shame, and I urge all young women to take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do,” the statement read.
