Member of Parliament for the Mfantseman Constituency, Ekow Quansah Hayford has reportedly been shot dead.
According to information reaching JoyNews, he was shot on the Abeadze Dominase – Abeadze Duadzi – Mankessim Road on his return from a campaign trip.
He was attacked by six armed assailants who stopped his car in a robbery stint.
According to eye witnesses, while the robbery was ongoing, the MP had identified himself.
They say, the robbers said they had been looking for him [the MP] for quite sometime as he was responsible for making their lives miserable in the country.
They shot him twice, which led to his untimely demise.
The robbers are at large.
