President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo today appeared in parliament to deliver the State of the Nation (SONA) 2020 address.
The Minority in parliament walked out of the session, fulfilling their earlier promise of boycotting the 2020 State of the Nation Address.
National Democratic Congress (NDC) members of Parliament, clad in black attires, are protesting government’s failure to release some five per cent of the District Assemblies’ Common Fund.
“And help us to resist oppressors’ rule with all our will, and might forevermore,” they chanted as they left the chamber.
