Jennifer Selome, a young lady who went viral on social media about a week ago for going missing in the Northern regional capital, Tamale has been found.
According to the Northern Regional Police, Jennifer was spotted by a good samaritan in Tongo in the Upper East region, wandering and looking traumatised.
The said good samaritan took Jennifer to the Tongo Police station and the police, in turn, relayed the message to their colleagues in Tamale.
A statement from the Northern regional police command, signed by the crime officer Superintendent Otuo Acheampong, said Jennifer has narrated her ordeal to the police. According to Jennifer, she boarded a tricycle but was allegedly sprayed with a substance, gagged and blindfolded.
She said she was taken to an unknown location after being transported in six different vehicles.
Superintendent Acheampong said, Jennifer alleges she was kidnapped together with a 12-year-old, who, however, managed to escape. Jennifer has since been reunited with her family and investigations continue
