Ghanaian musician, Nana Kwaku Osei, popularly known as Nacee, believes that most managers of gospel artists do little or no work for their musicians.
According to him, these managers only follow their musicians and perform errand duties for them.
He labeled these managers of gospel musicians as mere followers.
“My work as a musician is to come out with good songs,” he stated.
“Gospel artiste managers are supposed to go all out to get me endorsement deals, gigs and sell the products, that is the song and the artiste but most of these managers are just there.”
“They wait till event organizers contact me, the musician, for a gig then they come in and get their percentage,”
“They will then fold their arms waiting for someone to call for them to get their percentages”, he said on Onua 95.1 FM’s entertainment talk show ‘Anigye Mmre’.
Nacee believe that only 10 percent of managers of gospel artists put in work to help their talents.
“That is why I’m telling you 90 per cent of those around gospel musicians parading themselves as artiste managers are not working. Only 10 per cent are working.”, he added.
Nacee is an astute musician and a music producer who has recorded a number of gospel hits.
