MP donates educational materials to BECE graduates in Evaloe-Adjomoro Gwira

Mr Kofi Arko-Nokoe, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Evaloe-Adjomoro Gwira, has donated some educational materials to the successful Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduates of the 2025/2026 academic year, with admissions to enter Senior High Schools (SHS).

The donation formed part of the MP’s educational support initiative to alleviate the financial burdens on parents in the quest for a holistic education.

Mr Arko-Nokoe, who made the presentation at the climax of the annual Kundum festival of the Nsein Traditional Council and Lower Town Axim, pledged his commitment to equipping schoolchildren in the constituency with basic educational inputs to support their academic work.

He said the government recognised education as the fulcrum around which development revolved and would ensure good quality education delivery in the country.

Mr Arko-Nokoe said that, as part of a commitment to Nzema Language education, he, together with the two other MPs in Ellembelle and Jomoro, had created a scholarship package for students who were interested in studying the language in the Colleges of Education and Universities, to return and work in schools in the area, as part of efforts to revive the Nzema language.

He used the occasion to appeal to pupils to take their education seriously.

Mr Arko-Nokoe said that to ensure that progress and development reached everywhere, 12 communities in the Gwira area were being connected to the national electricity grid.
