Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has set an unwanted record by becoming the most carded player in the Spanish La Liga this season.
After 18 round of matches in the league, the midfielder has been booked 11 times. He has received 11 yellow cards – two in one match against Granada which resulted in a red card.
The bookings have come in the 15 matches he has featured in.
Wakaso is the most carded of La Liga, followed by Barcelona star Pique and Sevilla ace Fernando, both with eight.
The 29-year-old is yet to score nor assist a goal this season.
