Kofi Kinaata has disclosed that his former manager, Tony Pun, failed to promote his first ever song with Samini.

The artiste moved from Takoradi to Accra to join Samini’s High Grade Family in 2013.

After joining the label, Kofi Kinaata recorded a song with his boss titled ‘This Year’.

In an interview on Joy FM, the ‘Things Fall Apart’ hit maker has revealed that the artiste manager on the label, Tony Pun, failed to promote the song.

According to Kofi Kinaata, he had just arrived in Accra and did not know anybody in the city to help him promote the tune.

He was expecting his manager to carry out the task of getting radio stations to play the songs regularly.

‘How will I push the song. I was in Takoradi and I moved to Accra. I didn’t know anybody. I just did a song’, he said.

When asked directly if Tony Pun didn’t push the song, he said, ‘Yes…maybe’.

Kofi Kinaata left High Grade Family in January 2018 after spending five years with the record label owned by Samini.
