Popular musician Bisa Kdei says his recent feature in the Hollywood movie “Jingle Jangle” is a big win for Ghana’s Highlife music.
According to the artist, he was contacted via email by the movie producers of the new Netflix Christmas special to write a song for them.
He says he found out the director of the movie was a huge fan of his and they really appreciated his originality, a trait that influenced their choice.
Responding to a question on applause from his colleagues, Bisa Kdei said he was not perturbed about the lack of commendation from some of his fellow artists.
He stressed that the milestone is a big win for Highlife music.
“Nobody owes me a post. It’s a big win for us all, for highlife music and the culture and I’m glad everyone is happy,” he posted on Twitter.
