Ghanaian actor turned politician, John Dumelo, has explained why he had to pull down his post, suggesting the need to legalise polygamous as well as polyandrous marriages in Ghana.
Speaking in an interview, John said, the initial plan was to pull the post down just a few minutes after he had posted it.
When asked if the comment made by his wife under the post is what necessitated the action to pull it down, John responded saying; ” Before I shared the post, I showed it to my wife and told her I was going to post it. She was aware of it but as expected, she “dealt” with me later on at home. She showed me her typical “Ayigbe” woman side”.
John Dumelo a few days ago, took to social media, to express his opinion on polygamous and polyandrous relationships. In his opinion, it is about time Ghana thinks about making these acts legal.
According to John, “I feel that there’s nothing wrong with it. I mean if our brothers and sisters who are Muslims are doing it perfectly, why not Christians? Provided you can take care of your family and your two or three wives that’s fine and I mean, I speak to a lot of Muslim friends of mine and they’re okay with it, personally I don’t believe in it but I feel it’s good for Ghana.”
