NACOC arrests 10 in crackdown on Cape Coast drug hotspots

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has arrested 10 suspected drug offenders during an intelligence-led operation targeting alleged drug trafficking and drug abuse hotspots in Cape Coast.

A statement issued by the Commission said the coordinated operation was conducted in Pedu, Victoria Road, the University of Cape Coast (UCC) area, Downtown and other strategic locations as part of ongoing efforts to combat the illicit drug trade and enhance public safety.

It said officers carried out simultaneous raids at multiple locations, leading to the arrest of the 10 suspects and the retrieval of items believed to be linked to illegal narcotics activities.

It said the operation underscored NACOC’s commitment to dismantling drug networks and reducing the availability of illicit substances within communities.

The Commission said the suspects were assisting with ongoing investigations and would be processed in accordance with the law.

The statement urged the public to continue providing credible information to support efforts to combat drug-related crimes across the country.
