The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has announced the new Women’s League Committee Members. Mr Okraku made the announcement at a meeting held between the Executive council of the GFA and the clubs in Accra, yesterday.
The committee as announced is made up of seven members.
The head of the seven-member Women’s League was announced as Madam Hilary Boateng, an HR Consultant. She will be supported by renowned journalists and female football enthusiast, Rosalind Amoh who will work as the vice-chairperson.
Other members of the Committee as announced by Mr Okraku are; broadcast journalist Nana Aba Anamoah, Jerry Dogbatse and Madam Cleaopatria Nsia.
The women’s league clubs were invited to nominate two representatives from the northern and southern zones, as part of the GFA’s measures to encourage club involvement in the management of the league.
The nominees, Nana Opoku Fosu Gyeabour II for the northern sector and Christian Isaac Mensah for the Southern Sector, completed the list for the seven-member committee.
Meanwhile, the Women’s League is expected to kick off on the weekend of December 17, 2019.
