Nana Blay Miezah, the newly ordained chief priest at Miegyena, a farming community near Beyin, in the Jomoro Municipality of the Western Region, has mysteriously planted an immovable sword at the centre of his spiritual and ancestral home at Miegyena.

The sword, believed to embody the strength, soul and unity of people in the community and by extension Jomoro, was planted following an inspiration from his ancestors and communion with supernatural powers.

At a ceremony to pitch the sword at Miegyena, Nana Blay Miezah, who was the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) in the Jomoro Constituency, said the sword was immovable just like the spiritual and mystical one planted by Komfo Anokye in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

He challenged anyone who was sceptical about the sword to make a bold attempt to remove it from the ground, but upon several attempts by some people, including media personnel covering the event, nobody could do so.

He told the community that his ordination as a traditional and spiritual priest did not allow him to exercise any customary powers or right as the chief of the community.

Nana Blay Miezah said: “My intentions are very clean, and anybody who comes here with his or her problem will find a solution to it with the help of the spiritual powers through my ancestors.”

He used the opportunity to invite tourists and people from far and near to visit Miegyena to see the wondrous sword planted there.
