Nana Tuffour was making arrangements for brother’s burial before his demise – Sister

Ama Badu, sister of late Highlife musician, Nana Tuffour, has revealed that the singer was making plans for his brother’s funeral when death took him away.

According to the singer’s sister, their younger brother passed away some weeks ago and the family was making plans to lay him to rest.

She told Highlife Time TV that Nana Tuffour was overseeing arrangements to give thier brother a befitting burial but death suddenly took him away too.

“His younger brother died. We were making plans for his burial. Nana Tuffour called that we should meet. We had gone to find a cemetery for our younger brother’s burial”

“I was sleeping and my sister Ama called to tell me that Nana Tuffour too had passed away”, she recounted in the Twi language.

Nana Tuffour’s memorial service was held together with that of his brother, Kwame Owusu Tuffour, popularly known as Black Moses.

The event was held on June 29 at Ahenboboano-Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

Nana Tuffour died at home in the early hours of Monday, June 15.

The veteran musician composed songs like Aketekyiwa, Odo Kakra Sika Kakra, Owuo Sei Fie and Abeiku among others.
