Media personality Nana Yaa Brefo has resigned from The Multimedia Group.
The broadcaster has quit her job with Adom TV, belonging to the media company.
Her resignation comes shortly after she received public backlash for an infamous interview with actress Nana Ama McBrown.
Announcing her departure in an Instagram post, Nana Yaa Brefo thanked The Multimedia Group and her fans for their support during her 10 years service.
“…I BOW OUT of Multimedia to follow other dreams…Thank you all for being there”, an excerpt of her statement read.
Showbiz critic Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo had slammed Nana Yaa Brefo for asking what he termed stupid questions during her interview with Nana Ama Mcbrown.
According to him, the presenter asked the actress irrelevant questions regarding the help she offered to late actor Bishop Bernard Nyarko before his demise.
McBrown was called on Adom TV’s ‘Badwam’ after Isaac Darko, brother of the late Bernard Nyarko labeled McBrown a liar.
This was after Kumasi-based actors, including Mcbrown said that they made several efforts to reach out to Bernard Nyarko when they heard he was indisposed but to no avail.
“What is Bishop Nyarko’s phone number,” Nana Yaa Brefo asked after exchanging pleasantries with Mcbrown.
“You are a journalist, if you ask me such a question I won’t answer because it’s not a relevant question first of all,” Mcbrown responded.
Speaking on Peace FM, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo said Nana Yaa asked very stupid questions.
